TOWSON, Md. - The Towson women's tennis team recorded a 6-1 victory over St. Joseph's on Tuesday afternoon in Towson. The Tigers are now 2-0 during the fall portion of their season.

Towson picked up the first point of the match by claiming all three doubles matches in the contest. Sophomore Caitlin White and freshman Lauren Cloonan combined for an 8-5 win over Laura Matz and Jennifer Kedzierski. Freshman Aandria Carr and Anastasia Butcovscaia teamed up for a 8-4 win over Maggie Mullaney and Krysta Contino at second doubles. Senior Evelyn Izaguirre and sophomore Beth Daub were 8-0 winners against Katy Borden and Tristin Reppert at third doubles.

Towson earned a point at first singles as Kedzierski had to retire from her match with White due to injury. Mullaney earned St. Joseph's a point at second singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Cloonan. Carr recorded a 6-2, 6-0 victory at third singles agianst Matz. Butcovscaia was a winner at fourth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 match against Borden. Izaguirre recorded the 6-0, 6-1 win against Contino at fifth singles. Junior Cassandra Ng wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at sixth singles against Reppert.

Towson will compete next at the Old Dominion Tournament this weekend.
