QUESTION: You are coming off an impressive win over Maine. How do you feel after beating Maine on the road?
COACH AMBROSE: "We were extremely lucky to get out of Maine with a win. They have an awesome, awesome football team. Their defense took us out of a lot of things we like to do. Fortunately, we were able to get a few turnovers and that was the difference."
QUESTION: When you host New Hampshire on Saturday, you will be honoring a class of 14 graduating seniors. What have these players meant to the program?
COACH AMBROSE: "These are the guys who stuck it out. They have gone through so much the last few seasons. They understand the value of teamwork and working hard. It is vindicating to me to see smiles on their faces this season because they are enjoying this."
QUESTION: How do you explain your team's dramatic turnaround?
"The only way to explain it is like this. It took a ridiculous amount of hard work and dedication by everyone involved - the players, the coaches, the support staff and the administration. At the same time, everyone has had fun doing it. When we started here three years ago, we knew we were playing in a league with some outstanding football programs that were well-established and we knew we had to catch up. We felt we had to do 15 years of work in a very short time."
QUESTION: What do you think about playing New Hampshire this week?
COACH AMBROSE: "I keep saying it every week. This is life in the CAA - another nationally-ranked team. It's like this. 'You beat a good team. Congratulations. Look who you have next.' New Hampshire is a tremendous football team and Kevin Decker is an exceptional quarterback. I only wish I had offered him a scholarship when I was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut. Then, I wouldn't have to play against him this week."
QUESTION: Have you talked about the possibility of the NCAA FCS playoffs?
COACH AMBROSE: "The week before the Delaware game was an educational one for us. We were feeling pretty good about ourselves and started looking ahead a bit. Losing to Delaware taught us that we can't afford to lose our focus. So, we returned to the mindset we had during the first seven weeks. Last week, we had one of our best weeks of practice ever and we beat Maine. So, we are not thinking beyond New Hampshire. We are just going to keep playing football until someone tells us we can't play any more games."
