TOWSON, Md. - The Tigers host Georgia State on Sunday, Feb. 5 to wrap up their current home stand. Tip time in the Towson Center is set for 2 p.m.
The game will be broadcast on WNST 1570AM with Spiro Morekas and Zach Maskavich handling the call. The game is also part of the Tigers' "Pink Weekend" and all fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause. The game is sponsored by Under Armour, the official outfitter of Towson Athletics.
The Tigers (12-9, 3-7 CAA) and Panthers (7-14, 1-9 CAA) will be meeting for the 14th time overall with the Panthers holding an 8-5 edge. The Tigers snapped a two-game Georgia State win streak with a hard fought 56-52 win in Atlanta on Jan. 22. Guards Krystal Parnell and Tanisha McTiller had 16 points each in the game to lead the Tigers.
On the season, the sophomore McTiller is averaging 12 points per game while the senior Parnell is putting up 11.5 points and 3.8 assists per game. Sophomore forward Nyree Williams leads the team while averaging 8.5 rebounds per game and blocked a season-high four shots on Thursday.
Georgia State earned its first CAA victory of the season on Thursday with an 81-74 victory over Northeastern. Sophomore Kendra Long leads the Panthers as she is averaging 11.5 points per game. Senior Chan Harris is pulling down a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.
Following Sunday's action, the Tigers visit William & Mary before returning home to host Northeastern on Sunday, Feb. 12. That game will be broadcast on The Comcast Network at 3:30 p.m.
