TOWSON, Md. - Entering the final three games of the regular season and looking for a strong finish, the Tigers are back in action on Thursday, Feb. 23. Towson (16-10, 7-8 CAA) visits UNC Wilmington (16-10, 9-6 CAA) for a 7 p.m. tip.
Thursday night's game will be the 20th meeting in the all-time series between the two schools. UNC Wilmington holds a 12-7 edge in the series after claiming a 76-61 victory when the two squad met in January.
The Tigers have won four of their last five contests entering Thursday night's action. Senior guard Krystal Parnell leads the team as she is averaging 11.8 points per game and has dished out 100 assists this season. Sophomore guard Tanisha McTiller is contributing 11.3 points per game. Sophomore Nyree Williams and senior Deree Fooks are each averaging better then seven rebounds per game.
The Seahawks snapped a two-game losing streak with a 78-71 win at William & Mary on Sunday. Sophomore Alisha Andrews leads the team as she is averaging 12.7 points per game with 125 assists. Karneisha Garrett leads UNCW on the boards as she is contributing 7.2 rebounds per game.
Towson is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 26 when it hosts Drexel in the final home game of the regular season. The Tigers will honor their five seniors prior to Sunday's 2 p.m. tip.
