| @Towson_WTEN Faces Seton Hall on Saturday

TOWSON, Md. - Looking to build on its second victory of the season, the Towson women's tennis team will face Seton Hall on Saturday evening for a match with the Pirates.

The Tigers (2-1) are coming off an excellent showing against Salisbury University after defeating their in-state rivals 7-0 last weekend.

In the match against the Sea Gulls, Towson came away with straight set victories in all six singles matches, highlighted by a strong performance from senior Andrea Samlin. Samlin captured a victory over Salisbury's Katie Youlios while not losing a single game, winning by a tally of 6-0, 6-0.

This season, Samlin and three other Tigers, including juniors Ariel Burke and Nisha Shah and freshman Lorena Ferrer are tied for the team lead with four victories in singles play. In particular, Burke has stood out with a 4-3 record.

Joining Burke as a doubles partner has been sophomore Ayana Dow, and the pairing has carried over their chemistry they developed last season. The duo's victory over Jillian Poppe and Natalie Savage of Salisbury by a score of 8-5 last weekend was their first as a pair this season. They tied for the team lead with 15 victories as a doubles pair last season.
