TOWSON, Md. - After facing a tough Seton Hall squad last week and fall 6-1 to the Pirates, the Tigers will return to the courts Friday at Lafayette for a match with the Leopards at 3:30 p.m.

Towson, now 2-2 this season, earned a win in singles play against Seton Hall from senior Andrea Samlin. At No. 5 singles, Samlin defeated Karina Cordero 7-5, 6-2 to earn her team-leading fifth singles victory of the season.

A number of other Tigers performed well against the Pirates, as freshman Lorena Ferrer and junior Nisha Shah each earned set victories against their opponents before falling in three sets.

Ferrer took the second set against the Pirates' Madison Shoemaker by a 6-4 margin, but lost the first set 6-1 and the third set 6-2.

Shah won the first set against Rocio Portela 6-4, then dropped the second set 6-2 and the third set tie-breaker 10-1.

Shah has posted back-to-back seasons with more than 20 wins and currently has four singles wins this season.
