BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Tigers lost just their second match of March on Wednesday, suffering a tough 5-2 loss at Florida Atlantic. Towson is now 7-4 this season.

"This was a tough match that could've went either way," Tiger head coach Doug Neagle said. "This will make us hungry to get back out there tomorrow."

Tiger senior Andrea Samlin earned the team's lone win in singles action, defeating the Owls' Natasha Phillips 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. Samlin has won eight consecutive singles matches.

The Tigers also won the match's doubles point, taking all three of the singles matches. Winning duos for the Tigers included Lorena Ferrer and Ayana Dow at No. 1 doubles, Nani Lizana and Ariel Burke at No. 2 doubles and Samlin and Nisha Shah at No. 3 doubles.

Towson continues its spring break with a match against Nova Southeastern on Thursday.
