| @Towson_WTEN Defeated By Navy, 6-1

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Playing its second match in two days, the Tigers (11-8) fell to Navy on Wednesday by a score of 6-1. Despite the loss, Towson head coach Doug Neagle was pleased with his team, particularly freshman Sammi Grim.

Sammi stepped in and fought so hard," Neagle said. "Because of all of our matches lately, she's barely seen the practice courts, but she's played really well."

The Tigers' lone victory on the day came via Andrea Samlin at No. 4 singles. She defeated Logan Antill 6-1 in the first set, lost 1-6 in the second and defeated Antill in the tiebreaker 10-6.

Samlin leads the team with a 16-6 singles record.

Grim, playing in her third singles match of the season, fought hard but was defeated 6-3 and 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

Towson next faces UMES on Friday.
