| @Towson_BASE To Face William & Mary Today

HARRISONBURG, Va. - In the weather-delayed Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Veterans' Memorial Park, the Tigers are now scheduled to play William & Mary in a matchup of the only undefeated teams remaining in the CAA Tournament field.

Although the Tigers have managed to play both of their games without any interruptions from weather, the same cannot be said for most of the other teams in the tournament. For the last two nights, James Madison has started its game, played a few innings and had to return the next morning to finish the game.

On Thursday night, the Dukes faced No. 2-seeded William & Mary. The Tribe owned a seemingly-comfortable 12-3 lead in the third inning when the rain came. The teams reconvened on Friday morning to finish the contest. However, the Dukes came storming back and tied the game. James Madison actually owned a 19-16 lead entering the bottom of the ninth inning before William & Mary rallied to pull out a 20-19 victory.

That win enabled the Tribe to move into Game 7 this afternoon when the Tribe will face Towson. The Tigers won two of three games from William & Mary during the regular season.

However, before Towson faces William & Mary, Northeastern will meet an exhausted James Madison squad in an elimination game.

Now 27-28 on the season, the Tigers have pulled out a pair of tense victories in the tournament the last two days. On Wednesday, the Tigers edged Northeastern, 9-8. Yesterday, the Tigers surprised top-seeded UNC Wilmington, 13-11.

"This is fun for us," says third baseman Zach Fisher, who has hit three homers in two games. "We've been playing for our lives all season long and we're used to it. We are confident we can win no matter what happens."

In two CAA Tournament games, the Tigers have batted .356 with eight home runs and they have scored 22 runs. Fisher is batting .500 with three homers and seven RBI's while senior catcher Andrew Parker is batting .600.

As usual, the Tigers are playing excellent defense. In two games, they have a .987 fielding percentage and they have turned two double plays. Parker has thrown out the only runners that tried to steal.
