Assistant Athletic Trainer

 

Towson University’s Department of Athletics is immediately accepting applications to fill a newly approved Assistant Athletic Training position.

 

Towson’s Athletic Department is a member of the Division I Colonial Athletic Association and the Eastern College Athletic Conference for Gymnastics. Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, this staff member will assist with the medical care and comprehensive athletic training services for student-athletes.

 

This appointment is a 12-month, full-time staff position with comprehensive University benefits.  Salary range is $28,000 to 32,000 annually.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

Applying evaluative skills and techniques for orthopedic and medical problems associated with intercollegiate athletes; creating, analyzing and maintaining medical records; formulating effective therapeutic treatment plans and use of independent judgment; interacting with medical professionals, coaching and administrative staff; supervising clinical experiences for student athletic trainers in the University’s accredited Athletic Training Education Program; and fundamental budgetary and facility management responsibilities. Sport assignments are to be determined.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

NATABOC Certification. Master’s Degree and a minimum of two years of post baccalaureate experience preferred.
