Brandi Daniels Named 1st Team All-CAA

RICHMOND, Va. ? Junior goalkeeper Brandi Daniels (Harborfields H.S./Huntington, N.Y.) of the Tigers has been named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer first team, it has been announced by CAA officials.

Daniels, the only Tiger player named to the All-CAA team, is the first Tiger women's soccer player to be named first team All-CAA.

In addition, freshman Brittany Hadaway (Institute of Notre Dame/Pasadena, Md.) was named to the CAA All-Rookie team.

A three-year starter at goalkeeper for the Tigers, Daniels led the CAA with 123 saves in 18 games, a 6.83 average. She also led the CAA with an .872 save percentage and posted four solo shutouts. Her 0.99 Goals Against Average ranked her fifth in the CAA.

Honored as the CAA Co-Player of the Week in early September, Daniels ranks second on the Tigers' list of career shutout leaders with 12. In her career, she has started 48 matches and has allowed 58 goals for a 1.19 career GAA. She also has 287 saves and an .832 save percentage.

Hadaway was one of seven Tigers to start all 18 games this season in the midfield. She did a great job directing the team as a freshman and was one of the team's top defensive players.
