Tigers Carry The Load At Move-In Day

TOWSON, Md. - Taking a break from their pre-season practice schedule, the Tiger football team reported to Towson University's Residence Halls and spent most of Thursday helping their classmates move in to the residence facilities on the campus-wide "Move-In" Day.

Providing assistance to many grateful parents, the Tigers greeted the resident students at their vehicles. Then, they helped unload the vehicles before carrying the heaviest ones into the residence facilities.

"We want our student-athletes to be visible on campus and this is a good way for the students to get to know our players," said Rob Ambrose, the Tigers' first-year coach. "Hopefully, this will create more interest in our team and the students will be excited to come to our games."

The Tigers, who have been on campus since August 9, resume preparations for the season on Friday afternoon.

Towson opens its season at Northwestern University on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. (CST). The Tigers' home opener is set for September 19 against Coastal Carolina at 7:00 p.m.
