Top Story of the Week Summit Meeting - The two remaining undefeated teams in the Colonial Athletic Association will square off on Saturday night when the Tiger men's lacrosse team hosts Drexel under the lights at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. The Tigers and the Dragons, who are both 2-0 in the CAA, will meet for the 41st time in a series which Towson leads by a 36-4 margin. The Tigers have won 12 of the last 13 meetings.
This Week's Storylines Virginia is for Tigers - The Tiger women's lacrosse team starts a three-game road trip this weekend with a pair of key CAA games, traveling to Old Dominion on Friday night before facing William & Mary on Sunday afternoon. Sunday's meeting between the Tigers and the Tribe will be a rematch of last year's CAA semi-final, which Towson won by a 15-10 margin. Towson has eliminated William & Mary from the CAA play-offs in each of the last two years.
Lions and Tigers and Terrapins, Oh My - The Tiger softball team returns home for four games this week, including a three-game CAA series against Hofstra over the weekend. The Tigers will host Maryland on Wednesday afternoon before the three-game set against the Pride, which could have implications on the CAA Tournament. Hofstra is first in the CAA with a 9-0 record while the Tigers are tied for second with a 6-3 mark.
20-20 Vision - As the Tiger baseball team prepares for four road games this week, including a three-game series against Delaware, senior first baseman Steve Yarsinsky will be looking to extend his hitting streak, which has reached 20 games after a two-for-five effort against VCU on Sunday afternoon. During the hitting streak, Yarsinsky has hit .521 (38-for-73) and has 11 multi-hit games.
Chasing the Championship - The Tiger men's golf, women's golf and women's tennis teams will go after the Colonial Athletic Association Championship this weekend. The Tiger women's tennis team will compete at Old Dominion University beginning on Thursday while the men's and women's golf teams head to The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.
On the Run - The Tiger women's track and field team heads to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday in one of the squad's final tune-ups before the CAA Championships, which are slated for May 1-2 at George Mason University.
