RICHMOND, Va. – Senior midfielder Will Harrington of the Tiger men's lacrosse team has been named to the Preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association team, it has been announced by CAA officials.

Junior attackman Jay Card of Hofstra University was named as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year in a vote of the league's eight head coaches.

A first team All-CAA selection last year, Harrington led the Tigers with 23 goals and ranked second on the team with 26 points. He had three four-goal games, including a four-goal effort in the Tigers' 10-2 win over Drexel in the CAA semi-finals. Harrington also scored four goals in the Tigers' 10-8 win over Delaware, which secured a CAA Tournament berth and earned him CAA Player of the Week honors.

Harrington also had a four-goal effort in the Tigers' 16-8 victory over Sacred Heart.

The Tigers, who advanced to the CAA Championship Game last year, will open their 52nd season of college lacrosse on February 27 when they host Bucknell University at Unitas Stadium at 1 p.m.
