Tiger Update: Towson used a strong defensive effort to defeat Drexel on Thursday evening by a 53-48 score ... Haliena Snowden knocked down a career-high 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds ... Katrina Wheeler tied her season-high with 15 caroms ... Shanae Baker-Brice who leads the Tigers in scoring, averaging 18.0 points per game, posted her second career "double-double" on Thursday.

Huskies Update: Northeastern has won two in a row following a 61-53 victory over Georgia State ... Kim Carr led the Huskies with 17 points in the win ... Brittany Wilson leads the team as she is averaging 15.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game on the season ... Carr is averaging 11.8 points per game on the year.

Series History: Today's contest will be the 23rd in the all-time series between the two schools. Northeastern holds a slim 12-10 advantage in the battle. The Tigers have won five of the last six, including a 62-58 overtime victory in Boston last year.

Caught in the Blizzard: Drexel got caught in an early blizzard on Thursday night as Haliena Snowden knocked down a career-high 21 points. It was the senior's first 20+ point performance of her career. She would also add eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Double It Up: For the second straight game, the Tigers had a player record a "double-double". Shanae Baker-Brice recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds for her second career "double-double". Baker-Brice had a "double-double" as a freshman (points, assists). It was the seventh "double-double"by a Tiger this season (Haliena Snowden-4, Dovile Miliauskaite and Katrina Wheeler).

It's Good To Be Home: The Tigers are 8-3 at home this season and just 2-7 on the road. Towson holds a +6.8 rebounding margin at home compared to -8.1 rebounding margin on the road. Towson is also shooting 40.7% from the floor at home as compared to 30.7% on the road.

What's On Tap?: Towson wraps up its three-game home stand when it hosts Georgia State on Thursday, February 11 at 7 p.m. ... Towson then takes to the road for three straight, starting Sunday, February 14 at William & Mary.
