ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Tigers dropped a hard fought 4-3 decision to Seton Hall at the Naval Academy on Saturday afternoon. Towson (2-4) got wins in singles and doubles action from Katie Young. 

The Pirates took two of three in doubles action to capture the doubles point in the match. At first doubles it was Denise Liebschner and Belfin Sunbel defeating Lauren Cloonan and Andrea Samlin by an 8-3 score. Beth Daub and Young earned an 8-5 win over Courtney Kilarski and Elizabeth Verow at second doubles. Seton Hall secured the doubles point as Michelle Weerasinghe and Karina Cordero defeated Aandria Carr and Caitlin White, 8-4.

Liebschner earned a hard fought 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 win over Cloonan at first singles. Carr earned her second straight win at second singles with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Verow. At third singles it was Samlin defeating Sunbel by a 6-3, 6-4 margin. It was the freshman's third straight singles win for the Tigers. Cordero defeated Cassandra Ng by a 6-2, 6-1 score at fourth singles. Young earned her second win of the day with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win over Kilarski at fifth singles. Weerasinghe wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Daub at sixth singles.

Towson returns to action on Friday, March 5 when the Tigers face UMBC at 1p.m.
