WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Tigers dropped a tough 7-0 decision at Howard on Tuesday evening. Aandria Carr dropped a hard fought battle at first singles for the Tigers (2-6) after going to a 10-6 tiebreaker.

Howard took an early lead in the match with a sweep of the doubles action. Brittney Morgan and Alyssa Works defeated Lauren Cloonan and Andrea Samlin by an 8-2 score at first doubles. In second doubles action it was Michelle Brown and Ashley Moore defeating Beth Daub and Katie Young 8-3. The Bison completed the doubles sweep as Michele Gee and Anne Ahkimien contributed an 8-4 win over Carr and Caitlin White at third doubles.

Brown posted a 2-6, 6-4 (10-6) win over Carr at first singles. Morgan contributed a 6-0, 6-1 win over Cloonan at second singles. In third singles action Moore was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Samlin. Gee defeated Cassandra Ng by a 6-1, 6-0 score at fourth singles. Works posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Daub at fifth singles. Ahkimien wrapped up the action with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Trish Young.

Towson returns to action on Thursday, March 11 when the Tigers travel to Morgan State for a 3:00 p.m. match
