Tiger Update: Towson won its second straight with a 64-56 win in overtime at Old Dominion in the regular season finale ... it was the Tigers' first ever win over the Lady Monarchs in 15 tries ... Shanae Baker-Brice led the Tigers with 20 points in the game including nine in overtime ... Baker-Brice is averaging a team-best 17.9 points per game on the season.

Seahawks Update: UNC Wilmington dropped two its final three games in the regular season with a 54-50 loss to Georgia State on Wednesday ... Treasure Johnson had 14 points and seven rebounds against the Panthers ... on the season, UNCW is led by Brittany Blackwell who is averaging 13.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Series History: Today's contest is the 16th meeting in the overall series between the two schools. UNC Wilmington holds a slight edge in the series 8-7. The Seahawks' win last month snapped a three-game win streak by the Tigers.

Déjà Vu: For the second time in the last four years, the Tigers will meet the Seahawks in the opening round of the conference tournament. During the 06-07 season, Towson was the seven seed while UNC Wilmington held the ten spot. The Seahawks won that game by a 55-41 score behind 15 points from Greta Luksyte. The Tigers got nine rebounds from .Shanae Baker-Brice

In The Tournament: The Tigers will look to build upon their solid play of late in the conference tournament. Two years ago the Tigers won their first ever CAA conference tournament game and advanced to the semifinals. Last year the Tigers advanced to the quaterfinals before falling in a close contest to the eventual champion, Drexel.

I'm Honored: Shanae Baker-Brice was named the CAA Co-Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Tigers to their first ever win over Old Dominion. Baker-Brice scored a game-high 20 points including nine in overtime to seal the victory. It was the third time this season and fifth time in her career she has earned CAA Player of the Week honors.

First Time For Everything: The Tigers not only got a much needed win to close out the regular season against Old Dominion, it was also the team's first win ever against the Lady Monarchs. Towson has now recorded at least one win over every team in the CAA.

What's On Tap?: The winner of today's game advances to tomorrow's quaterfinal round ... in that contest they will face #2 James Madison ... that action is set for a 5 p.m. tip as well.
