TOWSON, Md. - When Coach Rob Ambrose and the Tiger football team host Coastal Carolina University in their home opener on Saturday, September 11 at Johnny Unitas® Stadium, the Tigers will be celebrating Towson Community Night. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
As part of Towson Community Night, local fans have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets for $8.00 each, a significant savings over the regular ticket price.
Last year, an enthusiastic crowd of 7,628 saw the Tigers edge Coastal Carolina, 21-17.

"A close-knit campus and off-campus community is critical for the development of any major academic institution such as Towson University," says Coach Ambrose. In addition to watching the Tigers host Coastal Carolina, fans attending the home opener will also be treated to a post-game fireworks display.
"The business community and the Towson Chamber of Commerce have been extremely supportive of this event," says John Latteri, the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing at Towson University. "Towson Community Night will provide our neighbors with an opportunity to interact with each other as well as local businesses. With our post-game fireworks, it should be a memorable night."
As part of the pregame festivities kids can participate in a football clinic instructed by players and coaches of the American Indoor Football Association Champions, the Baltimore Mariners. Part of the clinic will include a session for youth football coaches conducted by Mariners head coach Chris Simpson. Under Armour and the Towson University Marriott Conference Hotel are serving as game sponsors for the Tigers' game against Coastal Carolina. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to collect plenty of giveaways as they enter the Stadium.
A Towson cap, provided by Towson Place Apartments, will be given to the first 1,000 fans. A 2010 Tiger football schedule key chain tag, provided by Geico, will be distributed to the first 5,000 fans that enter the stadium. The Marines have sponsored 1,500 Tiger football schedule magnets.

The night prior to the game, the Towson University Athletic Program will have a presence at the Towson Chamber of Commerce's "FEET ON THE STREET" Friday Night Block Party.
The Tigers will be appearing on Friday, September 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The event is being held on Allegheny Avenue between York Road and Washington Avenue. Patrons will have the opportunity to enjoy great food and beverages while watching live performances and children's activities. The Towson University Marching Band will perform on Friday, September 18.
Tiger fans can pick up posters and schedule cards at "FEET ON THE STREET." Discount vouchers for the home opener will also be available.
