TOWSON, Md. - The Tiger Club has announced the start of the second annual T-Club Alumni Athlete Challenge, which runs through Friday, Apr. 13.

The goal of the challenge is to increase participation among former Tiger student-athletes contributing to the Tiger Club. Gifts to the Tiger Club benefit the entire athletics program, a specific team, a capital project or athletic grants-in-aid. All gifts to the Tiger Club are processed through the Towson University Foundation. The winning teams will be announced at Tiger Bowl II on Saturday, Apr. 21.

Alumni will be competing to earn additional funds for their programs. The team that has the highest percent participation among its total alumni will receive a prize of $3,000 to supplement its budget while the second place and third place team will receive $1,500 and $500, respectively.

All gifts of $25 or more donated since July 1, 2011 from alumni athletes to the Tiger Club count toward the challenge. Points are awarded based on overall participation percentages for each team, creating a competitive balance among all teams. 

Every former varsity student-athlete contributing to Towson University Athletics receives a T-Club pin for their participation. The T-Club proudly recognizes former student-athletes giving back to help provide the necessary resources for current student-athletes to succeed in the class room and in competition.

Alumni that have already made contributions can still help secure their team a win by advocating among fellow teammates to join in the effort.
