FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Towson will look to earn its second road victory since March 3 when the team faces the Nova Southeastern Sharks for a match beginning Monday at 1 p.m. It will be the first of two mtaches in two days for the Tigers, who also face Florida Atlantic on Tuesday.
Now 7-4 this season, the Tigers are led by sophomore Nisha Shah, who has a team-high 11 singles victories this season. Joining her in double figures is junior Andrea Samlin, who has played well of late to improve her record to 10-5.
Sophomore Ariel Burke has the longest active winning streak on the roster in singles play, having won her last five singles matches.
Burke and freshman Ayana Dow have the team's best record in doubles play this season. The pair has created a chemistry and has posted a 12-5 record in doubles overall.
Nova Southeastern is in the middle of a five match home stand but has lost five of its previous six matches. The team is 6-6 overall this season.
