| @Towson_FB Conducts First Spring Practice

TOWSON, Md. - While most of the students and members of the faculty and staff were reporting to campus on Tuesday, the Tiger football team was completing its first session of Spring Football in Unitas Stadium.

"It was a very good practice," said Coach Rob Ambrose. "Our coaches are going to have an adjustment to make because we have 92 players out here. We aren't used to having so many on the field. But, that's a good thing. It creates more competition."

The Tigers, who won the 2011 Colonial Athletic Association championship, went through a brisk 150-minute practice in the chilly early morning hours. Practice started at 5 a.m. and ended at 7:30 a.m. as the players went off to class.

"One of the great things is that we aren't coaching attitude any more," added Ambrose. "If you took a snapshot of this year compared to last year, you would find that we are much crisper and smarter than last season."

The Tigers resume their early morning practice sessions on Thursday at 5:00 a.m.
