| @Towson_WGOLF Sends Trio To Hoya Invitational

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - There's no quit in the Tiger women's golf team and despite dwindling numbers, Towson is sending three players to compete in Georgetown's 7th Annual Hoya Invitational at The Members Club at Four Streams Monday and Tuesday.

The 54-hole event will include an 11-team field. Joining host Georgetown will be Eastern Michigan, Hampton University, Nova Southeastern, Old Dominion, Penn, Richmond, St. John's, Seton Hall, William & Mary and Yale.

Towson will not compete as a team, however, falling short of the required minimum of four players on the course. Injuries and personnel issues have cut the Tigers down to three healthy players; junior Chelsea Harris, sophomore Carley Stenger and freshman Victoria Frasco. They will play as individuals.

Senior Airielle Dawson is taking off the remainder of the regular season. She's undergoing physical therapy in an effort to get back on the course for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championships later in April. She will miss the Hoya Invitational and a match play event at Navy.

"We're taking three deserving athletes to the Hoya Invitational," said Tiger coach Kate Stepanek. "Their challenge will be to play their personal bests."

Play in the Hoya Invitational will get underway on Monday with 36 holes and conclude Tuesday with one final round. The course will play 6,127 yards. Par will be 72.
