| @Towson_WTEN Falls To Longwood

TOWSON, Md. - Led by Malin Allgurin and Nicole Parker, Longwood University edged the Tigers by a 5-2 margin at the Tigers' Towson Center Courts.

 

Both Allgurin and Parker won their singles and doubles matches. At number three singles, Allgurin edged Nisha Shah, 6-4, 6-3. Parker was victorious at number six singles, edging Ariel Burke of Towson, 6-2, 3-6, (10-6).

The Lancers won four of the six singles matches as Marta Pinyol swept Aandria Carr, 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles. Sarah Moomau was victorious at number four singles, beating Andrea Samlin.

Nani Lizana and Ayana Dow posted singles victories for the Tigers.

At number two singles, Lizana came from behind Alison Shulman, 1-6, 6-3, (10-6). Dow also came from behind to beat Hannah Hill at number five singles, 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Longwood took a 2-1 lead in the match by winning two of the three doubles matches. Shulman and Allgurin took the number one doubles match, 8-6, beating Burke and Dow.

At number three doubles, Hill and Parker edged Shah and Ioana Aprodu, 8-6.

Samlin and Lizana earned an 8-5 victory at number two doubles, beating Pinyol and Parker.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Stony Brook at 2 p.m.
