TOWSON, Md. – The Colonial Athletic Association champion Towson University women’s lacrosse team will have its NCAA Play-In game against Northeast Conference champion Monmouth University on Saturday, May 5 aired on WNST-1570 AM.

First draw from Unitas Stadium is set for 7 p.m. in the first ever meeting between the Tigers (15-3) and the Hawks (9-10).
The winner of Saturday night’s contest will await Sunday night’s selection show to see who and where they will play next. The NCAA Tournament begins on May 11 and 12.
Towson enters the game with a school record nine-game winning streak, including an 8-7 win over James Madison in the CAA Championship game. The Tiger offense features a balanced attack as seven players have recorded 12 goals or more this season while 19 of the 24 players have at least one point. Senior goalkeeper Mary Teeters leads a strong defensive effort as the Tigers have held their opponents to single digit goals in 13 of 18 games.
Monmouth brings a six-game winning streak into Saturday night’s action after capturing the NEC title against Mount St. Mary’s. The Hawks have eight players that have scored at least 10 goals this season. Freshman goalkeeper Katie Donohoe has made 154 saves this season including 20 in the conference tournament to help Monmouth secure the title.
