James Oboh Named To Tight End Watch List

TOWSON, Md. - Tight End James Oboh of the Tigers has been named as a tight end to watch by the College Sports Performance Awards.

A key member of the Tigers' offensive unit last year, Oboh caught 16 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns. In the Tigers' win over Villanova, he caught four passes for 44 yards.

He also had a key reception in the Tigers' win at William and Mary. In a 38-27 victory, he caught a 31-yard touchdown pass to help Towson take a 14-3 lead in the first quarter.

When the Tigers faced No. 7 New Hampshire in a battle for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association, he helped Towson to a 56-42 victory with a pair of touchdown catches. He had three receptions for 97 yards, including a 56-yard TD catch in the first quarter.

A transfer from Florida Atlantic, Oboh is a two-year performer at tight end for Towson.

In preparation for the 2012 season, the College Sports Performance Awards have identified the top 32 tight ends in FCS football.
