| @Towson_MGOLF Releases Challenging Fall Schedule

TOWSON, Md. - The Towson men's golf team will play one of its most challenging schedules in the history of the program this fall as the Tigers compete in five tournaments during the months of September and October.

“This schedule will provide our team with the opportunity to compete with teams from the Big 10, SEC, A-10, Big East and other national powers,” said head men's golf coach Brian Yaniger. “We are also excited to be hosting the STX Match Play at our new home practice facility, Towson Golf and Country Club. Our goal in setting the schedule has always been to find the toughest competition we can. We have achieved that goal with this schedule.”

The Tigers will open the 2012 fall slate by hosting the STX Match Play at the Towson Golf and Country Club in Phoenix, Md. The tournament will run from September 8-10.

“We are looking forward to having our alumni, donors and friends come out to Towson Golf and CC in September to watch us compete,” said Yaniger. “We also would like to thank STX for their generosity in sponsoring this event.”

The Tigers will hit the road for the first time on Sept. 29-30 to compete in the Patriot Intercollegiate in Lorton, Va. The tournament will be hosted by Colonial Athletic Association rival George Mason.

The following weekend they will compete in the Binghamton Fall Invitational in Apalachin, N.Y.

From October 14-16, the youthful Tiger squad will head to Duluth, Ga. to battle a challenging field at the Autotrader.com Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State.

After a week off, Towson will wrap up its fall schedule by traveling to Charleston, S.C. to take part in the Kiawah Intercollegiate. Host school Charleston Southern will welcome an extremely talented field for three days of competition.
