TOWSON, Md. - Former Towson men's soccer defender Nigel Marples has signed to play professionally in Denmark for HB Køge, according to the team's official website.
According to the release, "Marples is a big and strong central defender with great leadership qualities which are used to take on a lot of responsibility."
Marples played for the Tigers from 2003-06, starting 68 of 72 career games. He was a vital cog in the team's 15-2-3 season in 2006, guiding the Tigers to the 2006 NCAA College Cup.
