| @Towson_MSOC Prepares For Howard On Wednesday

TOWSON, Md. - The Tigers will take the field Wednesday at 4 p.m. and welcome the Howard Bison to the Tiger Soccer Complex looking to rebound from a 3-2 overtime loss to Albany Saturday night.

Towson (1-2) received goals from Christian Höfer and Olakunle Banjo against the Great Danes as the Tigers outshot Albany 16-9 in the contest. It was the first time this season that the Tigers outshot their opponent.

The Tigers will look to carry over that offensive momentum Wednesday against a Howard squad that has been outscored 14-1 this season. The Bison have an overall record of 0-4.

Freshman goalkeeper Felix Petermann has played well in net for the Tigers and ranks third in the Colonial Athletic Association with nine saves. He has a .643 save percentage and a 1.57 goals-against average this season.

Banjo, a Preseason All-CAA selection, is already halfway to his four goal total from a year ago. His goal Saturday was his second in two games, and the Bison provide an excellent opportunity for the junior to extend his goal-scoring streak to three games.

For Höfer, his penalty kick goal was his first of the year after leading the team with five goals and 11 points last season. He remains an integral part of the team's offense from the midfield position.

Those attending Wednesday's game are encouraged to wear pink to the game. In support of breast cancer research and awareness, the Tigers will play Wednesday as a Pink game, in conjunction with the P.A.W.S. (Proud Athletes Who Serve) student organization. Donations will be accepted to support the cause for further research.

Wednesday will also be the first of two consecutive home games for the Tigers, as they will host Loyola (Md.) on September 11 beginning at 4 p.m.
