SKIDMORE SCORES AGAIN: Senior Cheyenne Skidmore scored her team-leading third goal of the season on Friday evening. She now has six points on the year and a solid hold on sixth place on the career scoring leaders list. With this goal, she moved out of a tie with Maggie Lennon ('01) for the spot.

NEUTRAL TERRITORY: This was the first match between Towson and George Washington played at a neutral site. The game was part of the 2012 Navy Invitational hosted at the Glen Warner Soccer Facility at the Navy Yard. The overall series between the Tigers and the Colonials is now 1-4-0.

ON THE OFFENSIVE: On Friday evening, Towson outshot an opponent for the second time this season. The Tigers poured 15 shots at the Colonials, while GW recorded 14. Before last evening, Towson tallied 17 shots to Loyola's 13 attempts in a 1-1 double overtime draw on Friday, Aug. 31.

END TO END: Sophomore goalie Erin Quinn posted her first career assist when her punt sailed downfield to a waiting Cheyenne Skidmore. Skidmore navigated the defense to score for the Tigers at 54:02.

HELLO AGAIN: Last night's game was the first time in three years Towson and George Washington had met. That last meeting, a 2-1 Tiger loss in Washington, D.C., occurred on August 24, 2009. Prior to that, the teams faced off in Towson's inaugural 1992 season and then again in 2002 and 2003.
