10 Things To Know Before Towson-William & Mary

TOWSON, Md. - Here are ten things you should know about the Tigers' season opener against William & Mary:

1) Saturday's game is the first Colonial Athletic Association game to be televised by the NBC Sports Network. Towson will make two more appearances on NBC SportsNetwork this season - Oct. 6 at James Madison and Nov. 3 at Delaware.

2) William and Mary is the second-oldest college in the United States. Founded in 1693, it ranks second behind Harvard.

3) The Tigers have three captains this season - Jordan Dangerfield, Grant Enders and Doug Shaw.

4) William & Mary has lost its first two games of the season by a total of four points, falling to Maryland (7-6) and Lafayette.

5) The Tigers were one of five Colonial Athletic Association teams that made the NCAA FCS playoff field last season.

6) Saturday's game is the second of six Tiger football games that will be televised this season.

7) When the Tigers beat William & Mary last season, it snapped the Tribe's seven-game winning streak against Towson.

8)  Senior cornerback B.W. Webb ranks eighth on the Tribe's career list of interception list with 11.

9) Sophomore Terrance West has scored two or more touchdowns in nine consecutive games dating back to a 28-3 loss at Maryland last October.

10) After switching from No. 88 to No. 10, sophomore wide receiver Spencer Wilkins caught five passes for 80 yards at Kent State.
