TOWSON, Md. - The honors continue to come in for Tiger volleyball senior Aubrey Kirven after a strong performance at the Hilton University 49er Invitational this past weekend.
On Monday, Kirven was named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player of the Week. Kirven followed that up on Tuesday by being named the ECAC Player of the Week.
Kirven was named the MVP of the Hilton University 49er Invitational after averaging 14.10 assists per set, which was above her season and CAA leading average she entered the week (11.78 per set). Kirven recorded 43 assists and seven digs in the win over UNC Asheville. She followed that up with 46 assists, four digs and two kills in the win over Kennesaw State. Kirven wrapped up the weekend with her fourth “double-double” of the season. She posted 52 assists and 13 digs against the 49ers.
Kirven and the Tigers, who have won five straight following Tuesday night's victory over La Salle are back in action on Friday, Sept. 21. The Tigers host Delaware at 7 p.m. to open CAA play.
