| @Towson_TFXC Finishes Fifth at CAA Championship

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Sophomores Elizabeth Tauber and Kara Bucaro both finished among the top 30 runners at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship to help lead the Towson women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish in the meet at Eastern State Park, hosted by William & Mary Saturday. William & Mary won the championship with a team score of 28, while James Madison, Delaware and George Mason finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

"We ran well," Towson head coach Roger Erricker said. "We weren't going to be able George Mason, who ran pretty well, too. But we were peaking at the right time this season and we ran confident, which really showed."

Tauber, who has finished first among Towson runners in every meet this season, recorded a personal best in a 6K race by timing 22:28 on the course, breaking her previous record by nearly eight seconds.

Bucaro also set a personal record in the race, posting her first sub-23:00 6K performance of her career by recording a time of 22:59 and finishing 29th overall.

Hannah McKenzie, Ashley Simmons and Emma Tobin rounded out the top five finishers for Towson. McKenzie finished 41st (with a time of 23:31), Simmons 44th (23:33) and Tobin 52nd in 23:51.
