A day in the life of Mike Burwell...
8 a.m. - My alarm
clock goes off. I hit the snooze button
before I finally wake up. This normally takes me some time.
8:25 a.m. - I
freshen up and get dressed for class.
9-9:50 a.m. -
Report to my first class - "Conflict Resolution."
10-10:50 a.m. - Head
over to "PAWS" restaurant on campus to have breakfast with a few athletes from
various sports teams.
11-11:50 a.m. - Report
for my second and final class of the day, "Community Corrections." Once class
finishes I will normally do a dance of excitement then make my way over to
the Towson Center to catch the 12 p.m. bus.
12:30-3:30 p.m. -
Practice time - which means: another opportunity to develop my game and create
better chemistry with my team. Following
practice, I go get a nice lift then hit the cold tub. Taking care of my body is
very important.
4:30-6 p.m. -
Study hall time. I take advantage of
this time because it gives me a chance to get work done in a quiet academic
setting.
6 p.m. - Team
dinner time. Dinner is always good food
and good times with my teammates. It
gives us a chance to catch up on things going on in each other's lives. After
dinner I have a few hours of free time to my disposal, so I kick
my feet up and play some "friendly" games of FIFA and Halo with my
teammates. Of course, that gets more and
more intense over time.
9 p.m. - The gym
is available so I go put in extra time to work on my game.
10 p.m. - I leave
the gym, go grab a bite to eat then find my bed...This is probably the highlight
of my day. There is no better feeling
than lying down after a long productive day.
