Neal Nets Career-High 29 Points in Spurs Win

HOUSTON, Texas - Third-year NBA pro and former Towson Tiger great Gary Neal tallied a career-high 29 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 134-126 overtime win against the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

Neal shot 11-for-18 from the field and 7-for-10 from beyond the arc. The seven three-pointers were the most made by a Spurs player this season.
Nine of Neal's 29 points came in the fourth quarter and overtime stanza.

The Baltimore native has played in 20 games this season with 10 starts for the Spurs, who own the best record in the NBA at 18-4.

Neal is averaging 12.3 points per game, trailing
only Tim Duncan and Tony Parker on the team in scoring. This season, Neal is currently averaging more points than two-time NBA All-Star Manu Ginobili.

Averaging 24.8 minutes per game, Neal is shooting 46.0 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 86.1 percent from the free throw line.
