TOWSON, Md. – Qdoba, the popular
Mexican Grill with two restaurants in the Towson area will be the official game
sponsor for the final college basketball games to be played in the Towson
Center on Saturday, March 2.
The
Tiger men's basketball team will close out its winningest season in 17 years
when the Tigers host Hofstra University at 4 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the Tiger women's
basketball squad hosts William and Mary.
In
honor of the final college basketball games in the Towson Center, Qdoba will be
providing special coupons to the first 2,000 fans who attend Saturday's games.
Qdoba
will also be sponsoring a Burrito Eating Contest during the men's basketball
game where four lucky fans will be chosen to compete via social media. The
winner of the Burrito Eating Contest will receive free burritos for a year. At
the same time, the three runners-up each receive 10 burritos.
Anyone
wishing to participate should follow “Doc” (@Doc_the_Tiger) on Twitter every
day this week for a chance to participate in the contest.
Qdoba
will also have a table at the Towson-Hofstra game where there will be other
giveaways and coupons.
As
part of the Towson Center finale, many former Tiger men's basketball players
will be on hand and they are scheduled to play a game at halftime of the men's contest.
There will also be a contingent of former women's basketball players, gymnasts,
track and field performers and volleyball players who will be introduced.
There
are two Qdoba restaurants located near campus, including locations at 1255 East
Joppa Road and 6304 York Road.
Fans
are encouraged to look for Qdoba at Tiger men's lacrosse games. Qdoba is the
sponsor of the student section and will provide a variety of giveaways
throughout the season. Qdoba also has a special student ticket with a coupon
for free chips and queso.
