| @Towson_MGOLF Starts Play at Mission Inn Spectacular

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Junior Joe Gunerman led the Towson men's golf team on day one of the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular, a 54-hole golf tournament held in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

The Tigers played two rounds on Saturday on the par 72, 7,230-yard Las Colinas golf course at the historic Mission Inn Resort.

Towson sits in 10th place among a very talented 18-team tournament field after Saturday's action. Purdue (577) leads Indiana (578) by just one stroke, while Florida Atlantic (585), Georgia State (585)
and Virginia Tech (587) round out the Top 5. The Tigers posted a 611 team score through two rounds.

Gunerman opened play with one-over 73 in his first round of the spring. That would be the top round by any Tiger on day one. He followed that with a 78 for a two-round score of 151, placing him in 38th overall.

Ken Jee is tied for 48th after carding rounds of 78 and 75 on day one. Newcomer Sam Stewart got off to a rough start with an opening round 85, but rebounded nicely with a 75 in his afternoon round. The 75 marked the second best round for a Tiger on Saturday.

The field will play their final round on Sunday morning and fans can follow all of the action live on Gamebook by clicking HERE. GameBook also offers live scoring vai the free iPhone/iPad app.
