TOWSON, Md. – Members of the Tiger women's basketball team and coaching staff took time to volunteer at the Color Run in Baltimore over the weekend.
The Color Run is a 5K run that benefits charities as runners are pelted with colored cornstarch throughout the race. The event in Baltimore benefited the Cool Kids Campaign, which helps children and families in Baltimore battling cancer.
After signing in as volunteers, the Tigers were assigned to the finish line area of the race. Their responsibilities were to cheer the runners on as they crossed the finish line, high-five and celebrate with them and make sure that they kept moving along to the Color Run festival course to ensure there were no hold-ups resulting in a potentially dangerous situation. The team was also responsible for throwing paint on the runners to make sure they got the full COLORFUL experience!
