@Towson_BASE's bats were on fire yesterday in the series opener against Northeastern. The Tigers pushed 14 runs across the plate while only giving up a single run to the Huskies. The Tigers hit four long balls in the win, including two off of the bat of junior DH Kurt Wertz who hit a solo shot and a grand slam. Pat Fitzgerald and Peter Bowles also went yard. Starter Mike Volpe threw 5.0 and gave up a single unearned run while striking out two. The Tigers and Huskies will resume play today with game two of the series at 3:30 p.m.

Congratulations to @Towson_SB's Delanie Dunham on being named to the Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Dunham set a career-high this year with a .311 batting average and drove in 41 runs. Dunham was also a threat on the base paths and finished third in the CAA in stolen bases. She will look to build on her accomplishments and have a great senior season next year.

Congratulations also go out to @Towson_WLAX's Alexa Demski for being named to the second-team All-American honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). It is only fitting that Demski gets named as an All-American for the second straight year to close out her incredible career. Demski finished her career in second place on the all-time caused turnovers list here at Towson with 99.

It is awesome to say that @TigerArena is almost complete! Fans will have the opportunity to take a tour of the brand new building on Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, July 20. You will get the chance to see the beautiful new HD video board hanging over center court, all the seats with amazing view points and even the court itself which is amazing!

After an amazing junior season, it is no surprise that, Jerrelle Benimon is gaining national media attention. According to CBS Sports, Benimon is setting the standard for this year's crop of breakout players.
