TowsonTigers.com: How was your holiday break? What did you do? Go home? See friends? Any fun trips?
Jessica Evanick: My winter break was great, very relaxing!! I went back home to New Jersey and spent a lot of time with my family and friends. I didn't do anything extravagant, mainly just hanging out, watching movies, and playing with my nieces and nephews.

TT: What classes are you taking? What are some of the topics you're studying right now?
JE: I took six classes this pring. Since I'm a marketing major, my classes this semester were focused on international business, technology in marketig, marketing communication and business writing/presentations. I really liked the teachers I had because they have so much experience in their respective field and are extremely passionate to teach us about it.

TT.com: What kind of training did you do in the spring? Walk me through practice and conditioning sessions.
JE: We lifted for an hour twice a week, which can include anything from squats to lunges to bench press to pull ups and core work. We also had conditioning twice a week, one day focusing on speed and agility while the other day was geared towards cardio and endurance. The lifting and conditioning workouts were followed by an hour-long soccer session. Fridays were "workshop days," which were programs set up to help us on and off the field in developing leadership and build character.

TT.com: How have you spent your free time since the season ended? How much more time away from practice do you have in the off-season versus in-season?
JE: If I'm not hanging out with my friends, I can probably be found doing homework but I also secretly love doing problem solving puzzles like Sudoku and KenKen. Off-season soccer takes up a significantly less amount of time but the training is also more tiring so I find myself taking naps during the week more often. The biggest difference though - with the exception of our spring games - is having the weekend to ourselves.

TT.com: What were your goals for the spring?
JE: Some of my individual goals for the spring were to improve my distribution, be a better communicator, and increase my endurance. As a team, we wanted to win all of our spring games, have everyone pass the fitness test, and improve team chemistry.
