TIMONIUM, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming and diving team received their Colonial Athletic Association Championship (CAA) rings Friday night as part of the Night of Champions celebration.

The Tigers gathered with members of the athletic department and supporters of the team to recap one of the most memorable seasons in program history. Towson finished the year with a 10-2 record, a perfect CAA record and the team's fifth CAA team title in six seasons.

Speakers for the event included Director Of Athletics Mike Waddell as well as Beth Botsford, who served as the keynote speaker for the evening's event. Botsford is a two-time Olympic swimming gold medalist who made the Olympic team in 1996 at the age of 14.

CAA Coach of the Year Pat Mead spoke about his team before the crowd was treated to a video highlighting the team's season.

The team then received their rings from Waddell, Mead and diving coach Maureen Mead with help from the night's emcee, Spiro Morekas.
