Tiger Student-Athletes Get Degrees at Commencement

TOWSON, Md. – For college student-athletes, a great level of personal success is achieved when scoring a goal, making a basket or crossing the finish line. However, perhaps no greater sense of self-fulfillment for those students is reached than when walking the stage to receive their degree, which rewards their academic endeavors and culminates their experience at Towson University.

Forty-seven student-athletes from Towson University felt that satisfaction this week as they were among 3,444 graduates who earned baccalaureate degrees for the spring term of
2013 at the institution's 148th Commencement Exercises.

Ten graduates were recipients of the Tiger Athletics Scholar Medallion, given to student-athletes whose cumulative grade point average is greater than 3.50.
