| @Towson_BASE To Face UNC Wilmington At 2:30

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Due to inclement weather at the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Championship last night, there has been a change in the schedule for the tournament.

As a result, the Tigers' scheduled 12 noon game against North Carolina Wilmington (37-19) will be played at 2:30 p.m.

Last evening, the second game of championship between No. 3 Delaware and No. 6 James Madison resumed at 9 a.m. on Thursday. The Dukes were leading by 4-2 in the top of the fourth inning. The loser of that game will return at 11 a.m. to face #5 Northeastern in an elimination contest.

After the Tigers face UNC Wilmington, second-seeded William & Mary plays the winner of the Delaware/James Madison contest at 6 p.m.

Game 6 of the championship, which features the winner of Game 3 and the lowest-seeded loser of Games 4 and 5, is tentatively set for 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Making their fifth appearance in the CAA Tournament, the Tigers pulled out a tense 9-8 victory over Northeastern on Wednesday afternoon. In the victory, the Tigers matched their seasonal high with four home runs as Dominic Fratantuono hit a three-run homer while Andrew Parker and Kurt Wertz each had two-run shots. Zach Fisher added a solo home run.

During the regular season, the Tigers won two of three games against North Carolina Wilmington at Schuerholz Park.

Junior righthander Brandon Gonnella will pitch for the Tigers against Mat Batts of UNCW.
