Checking in with Brian Bolewicki

TOWSON, Md. - Brian Bolewicki sat down with TowsonTigers.com for a brief chat. Bolewicki was a freshman in 2013 and scored four goals and four assists for eight points to lead all true freshmen.

1. You made eight starts as a true freshman. How do you feel your first season went when you compare it to expectations you had in preseason?
BB: This season exceeded my expectation in terms of personal success and team success. I was very happy with the amount of playing time I received last season. I came into the season hoping to get some playing time and was very happy that my coaches had confidence in me and gave me the opportunity to contribute and be part of such a great season and a great team.

2. You had four goals to lead all true freshmen in scoring. How is the college game different from high school?
BB: The pace of the college game is much faster than the high school game, and the preparation and workouts are much more demanding. The college lacrosse experience also requires discipline in order to balance academics and lacrosse.

3. What was the most surprising thing about last season?
BB:
I was most surprised by the level of intensity and competion of the game. I was very lucky to have been able to play against so many talented players. I think a lot of people were surprised by Towson's success, but we worked hard as a team and believed that we could be successful even when others gave us little chance to succeed.

4. What are your goals for next season?
BB: I plan to work hard to prepare for the upcoming season and would like to see Towson back at the CAA championships and NCAA Tournament. I am less focused on my individual goals and more focused on doing whatever is necessary to help my team build on last year's winning season.

5. Any fun summer plans? What's your favorite thing to do over the summer?
BB: I plan to spend time at the beach and will be working a little. I like to go fishing whenever I have free time.
