TOWSON, Md. – For the second year in a row, the Tiger football team will play a 12-game schedule in 2014.

This marks only the fifth time in program history that the Tigers have been able to schedule 12 regular season games. Towson also played 12 games in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2013.

The Tigers will play four non-conference games in addition to their eight-game Colonial Athletic schedule. Towson will play six home games at Minnegan Field at Johnny Unitas® Stadium and six contests on the road.

For the seventh year in a row, Towson will face an NCAA FBS opponent in the early season. On Saturday, September 6, the Tigers will face West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va. WVU will be the eighth FBS opponent to host the Tigers since 2008. The Tigers earned their first win over an FBS school when they beat Connecticut earlier this season.

Towson opens its 2014 season with a home game against Central Connecticut on August 30. After their visit to West Virginia on September 6, the Tigers visit Delaware State on September 13.

The Tigers open a three-game home stand on September 20 when they host North Carolina Central. On September 27, the Tigers open up their CAA schedule against Maine. A week later, Towson hosts Stony Brook.

On October 11, the Tigers visit James Madison for another CAA contest. On October 18, Towson visits Delaware.

CAA newcomer Elon visits Unitas Stadium on November 1 before the Tigers travel to Villanova on November 8. Towson hosts William & Mary in its home finale on November 15. On November 22, the Tigers close out the regular season at Rhode Island.
