TOWSON, Md. ? The Tigers are back in action this Friday night when they face 20th-ranked and unbeaten Villanova (4-0) in the Palestra in the Philly Hoop Group Classic. Tip off is 8:30 p.m. The game will be carried on WBAL Radio (1090 AM). On Saturday night the Tigers will meet either Penn State or Rhode Island. The game will be televised on CN8 and broadcast on WTMD (89.7 FM) Radio.
Towson and Villanova are meeting for the fourth time. The Wildcats own a 3-0 lead in the series. The Tigers have never faced either Penn State or Rhode Island on the hardwood.
The Tigers, 3-1 on the season, are coming off a 61-48 win over NJIT in the Towson Center this past Monday night. The victory stretched Towson's win streak at home to six straight.
