RICHMOND, Va. ? Tiger senior forward Junior Hairston and sophomore guard Brian Morris were honored Thursday night when the All-Colonial Athletic Association post-season selections were announced at the Men's Championship Basketball Tournament Awards Banquet.
Hairston, who has led the Tigers in scoring each of the last two years, repeated as a third team choice. He is the second Towson player to repeat as an All-CAA selection. Gary Neal was a two-time pick also.
Morris, a Mass Communication major carrying a 3.7 grade point average, was recognized on the CAA All-Academic first team.
Hairston, who averaged a team high 12.9 points and 7.5 rebounds, was joined by Northeastern's Manny Adako, Georgia State's Joe Dukes, George Mason's Cam Long, William & Mary's David Schneider and UNCW's Chad Tomko on the third team.
VCU senior guard Eric Maynor repeated as CAA Player of the Year. Drexel coach Bruiser Flint was named Coach of the Year. James Madison's Julius Wells was chosen Rookie of the Year.
The Tigers face Drexel Friday night at 8:30 p.m. in a first round game in the Richmond Colesium. The game will carried back to the metropolitan Baltimore area on WTMD (89.7 FM) Radio.
