TOWSON, Md. – Coach Edy Pratt and the Tiger cheerleading squad held their first clinic for local high school cheerleaders on Wednesday evening in the Towson Center.
“All the teams worked very hard and their positive energy illuminated the room,” Pratt said. “Our squad did an amazing job working with all of the teams.”
The Tiger cheerleaders welcomed five local high school squads from the surrounding community to work on their stunting and tumbling skills. Squads from the Baltimore County Public Schools had the opportunity to sign up on a first come, first served basis.
“Our cheerleaders had a great time,” Perry Hall Coach Angela Hartman said. “We are definitely interested in coming back next year.”
The entry fee for each student was $10. This included the cheer clinic, an entry ticket to this week’s Tiger football game against Richmond and a commemorative T-shirt. A video highlighting portions of the clinic will be shown during halftime at Saturday's football game.
Another clinic will be held during the 2011-12 basketball season. For more information, visit TowsonTigers.com or call 1-855-TU-TIGER.
