TOWSON, Md. - After leading the Tigers to three wins in five games last week, Towson senior outfielder Erika Stasch has been named Colonial Athletic Association Softball Player of the Week, CAA officials announced Tuesday.
From March 4-11, Stasch hit an incredible .692 (9-for-13) at the plate. She hit three home runs, had seven runs batted in and also scored seven runs.
"It's well deserved," Towson Head Coach Lisa Costello said. "It's awesome. She did a really nice job for us."
Stasch was particularly impressive in Towson's sweep over Columbia last weekend. In three games against the Lions, Stasch went 5-for-6 with two home runs and six runs scored.
This season, she has been a stable power source for the Tigers. Her six home runs lead the team and she boasts an impressive .831 slugging percentage with 19 RBI's in 19 games, all starts.
