TOWSON, Md. - The Tigers will head to George Washington Friday for a non-conference match with the Colonials beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Towson has not had a match since March 20, a 7-0 loss to Florida Atlantic. Towson's home match against Loyola, originally scheduled for Wednesday at 3:15 p.m., was postponed due to inclement weather.

The Tigers, now 8-5 this season, have been boosted by the play of freshman Ayana Dow, sophomore Nisha Shah (pictured) and junior Andrea Samlin. All three have at least 10 wins in singles play this season.

After an outstanding freshman season in which she went 21-3 overall, Shah leads the team with a 12-7 record in singles. Shah has also been a reliable performer in doubles play. She is 7-6 in doubles this season.

Samlin has been a consistent player for the Tigers and is undefeated at No. 5 singles (6-0) this year.

Dow has made an immediate impact in her first season with a record of 10-6 in singles, but has also formed a chemistry with teammate Ariel Burke in doubles. Of Dow's 15 doubles victories this year, 12 have come with Burke as her partner.
